Evangelism and Being on Mission for Jesus

By New Churches Team

Starting with the Basics

Evangelism. What is it, really? Is it finding lost people and introducing them to Jesus? Yes. But it is also more than that. It is helping them find a flourishing life in Jesus for here and now, and for the not yet. It is connecting them to a community of believers that truly want to know them and hear them, even when they disagree.

Church Leaders First

Being on mission for Jesus in our communities is not limited to church leaders. But it does start with them. Church leaders that set a good example for their congregations see their people catching that vision directly from them while also having it taught to them. Church leaders have a responsibility to be culture makers that impact the culture outside the church walls from Monday to Saturday. Questions to consider:

  2. Are you communicating to the people in your congregation the call and the wonderful gift of being involved in mission out at the edges?
  3. Make a significant ask.

A Holy Spirit Conversation and a Table
